qāla innī layaḥzununī an tadhhabū bihi wa-akhāfu an yakulahu l-dhi'bu wa-antum ʿanhu ghāfilūn
He said, "Indeed, [I] it surely saddens me that you should take him and I fear that would eat him a wolf while you of him (are) unaware."
[Jacob] answered: "Behold, it grieves me indeed [to think] that you might take him with you, for I dread lest the wolf devour him at a moment when you are heedless of him!"
He said: Lo! in truth it saddens me that ye should take him with you, and I fear less the wolf devour him while ye are heedless of him
(Jacob) said: "Really it saddens me that ye should take him away: I fear lest the wolf should devour him while ye attend not to him."
He responded, “It would truly sadden me if you took him away with you, and I fear that a wolf may devour him while you are negligent of him.”
[Jacob] said, "The thought of you taking him away with you worries me. I am afraid a wolf may eat him at a moment when you are not paying attention."
[Jacob] said, It would indeed grieve me if you took him away with you, and I fear lest the wolf should devour him while you are off your guard
He said: Surely it grieves me that you should take him off, and I fear lest the wolf devour him while you are heedless of him
He said: Truly, it disheartens me that you go with him. And I fear that a wolf eat him while you are ones who are heedless of him.
He said: "It would worry me for you to go off with him. I fear a wolf will eat him up while you are careless about him."
He (Jacob) said: “Truly, it will worry me if you take him away. I fear lest a wolf should devour him while you are careless of him.”
He said, “Truly it grieves me that you should go with him. And I fear that the wolf may eat him, while you are heedless of him.
(Yaqub) said: “Definitely I, surely it makes me concerned that you (all) go along with him. And I fear that a wolf would devour him while you are careless of him.”
Their father said: "I will be worried if you take him away, for I fear lest a wolf should eat him up while you are off your guard ."
He said, 'It worries me that you would take him away. And I fear the wolf may eat him while you are careless of him.'
He said, "Surely it grieves me indeed that you should go with him, and I fear that the wolf may eat him (while) you are heedless of him."
Jacob replied, "I shall be grieved if you take him with you; I fear that some wild-beast will harm him in your absence."
He said, .It makes me sad that you should take him with you, and I fear that some wolf may eat him up when you are heedless of him
Jacob said, "I worry that you take him with you to the wild and some wolf devours him when you are distracted."
(The father) said, "I am afraid you might take him out, then become unmindful of him and a wolf might devour him. That thought saddens me!"
Yaqoub (Jacob) said: "Really it makes me sad that you should take him away: I am afraid that the wolf may eat him when you are not attending to him."
[Jacob] said, "Indeed, it saddens me that you should take him, and I fear that a wolf would eat him while you are of him unaware."
He said: "It saddens me that you should take him, and I fear that the wolf would eat him if you would be absent of him."
He replied, ‘The thought of you taking him away with you worries me: I am afraid a wolf may eat him when you are not paying attention.’
He said: verily it grieveth me that ye should take him away, and I fear lest a wolf may devour him, While ye are negligent of him
He said: "I am afraid of sending him with you lest a wolf should devour him when you are unmindful."
He said, ´It grieves me to let him go with you I fear a wolf might come and eat him up while you are heedless, not attending him.´
He (Jacob) said: "Indeed, it grieves me that you should take him with you, and I fear lest a wolf should devour him while you are inattentive of him."
He said, ‘It really upsets me that you should take him away, and I fear the wolf may eat him while you are oblivious of him.’
Said he, "Verily, it grieves me that you should take him with you, for I fear lest the wolf devour him while you take no heed."
He said: indeed it saddens me if you take him away, and I am afraid that a wolf eats him while you are unaware of him
Jacob said, “Really it saddens me that you should take him away. I fear the wolf should devour him while you are not watching him.
Yaqub said, “The mere thought of you taking him worries me, and I am afraid that a wolf might snatch and eat him whilst you are not paying attention to him.”
Their father answered: "It grieves me indeed that you should take him with you for I fear that some wolf might eat him up while you are negligent of him."
He said: "It saddens me that you should take him, and I fear that the wolf will eat him if you will be absent of him."
Their father said, "It does indeed grieve me that you should take him away. And I fear lest the wolf devour him while your attention is diverted from him."
He said, 'It will grieve me that you should take him away, and I fear that wolf may eat him while you remain unaware of him.'
He said, "I worry lest you go away with him, then the wolf may devour him while you are not watching him."
He said: 'It grieves me to let him go with you, for I fear lest the wolf should devour him when you are not paying attention to him.
He said: Indeed it grieves me that you should take him away and I fear lest the wolf devour him, while you are heedless of him
He said: "That I (it) saddens me (E) that you go away with him, and I fear that the wolf eats him, and (while) you are from him ignoring/neglecting/disregarding."
Jacob said: “I am afraid that a wolf may attack him while you are busy with your work.”
He said, "I will indeed be saddened by your taking him away, and I fear that the wolf may devour him, whilst you are unaware of him." (* Prophet Yaqub knew of what was about to happen.
He said, `It grieves me that you should take him away, and I fear lest the wolf should devour him while you are heedless of him.
He said: ‘This idea indeed makes me sad that you take him along, and I am (also) afraid (of this idea) that some wolf may devour him, whilst you are careless of his (safeguard).
He said, `It worries me that you should take him away. Moreover, I fear lest a wolf should devour him while you are heedless of him.
He (Yaqoob (Jacob)) said: "Truly, it saddens me that you should take him away. I fear lest a wolf should devour him, while you are careless of him."
He said, 'It grieves me that you should go with him, and I fear the wolf may eat him, while you are heedless of him.
Jacob answered, it grieveth me that ye take him away; and I fear lest the wolf devour him, while ye are negligent of him
Said he, 'Verily, it grieves me that ye should go off with him, for I fear lest the wolf devour him while ye of him do take no heed.
He said, "Verily, your taking him away will grieve me; and I fear lest while ye are heedless of him the wolf devour him."
He said: ‘It would much grieve me to let him go with you; for I fear lest the wolf should eat him when you are off your guard.‘
(Jacob) said, “It really upsets me that you want to take him away. I worry that a wolf will eat him while you are not watching him.”
He said: "It would worry me for you to go off with him. I fear a wolf will eat him up while you are careless about him."
He answered: 'It certainly grieves me that you should take him with you; and I dread that the wolf may eat him when you are heedless of him.'
(Jacob) said, “Indeed, it will sadden me if you take him... I fear a wolf will eat him while you are not paying attention to him.”
He said: 'Verily it saddens me that you should take him away, and I fear lest the wolf devour him while you are heedless of him'.
"It grieves me at heart to part with him," said the father "especially when I have an uneasy sense of the probability of the boy being brutally assailed and devoured by a wolf at a moment when you are oblivious of him it."
He said, “It grieves me that you should take him away and I fear that the wolf may eat him when you are heedless of him.”
(Jacob) said: "Really it saddens me that ye should take him away: I fear lest the wolf should devour him while ye attend not to him."
He said, "Indeed, [I] it surely saddens me that you should take him and I fear that would eat him a wolf while you of him (are) unaware.
